I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Kristen Johnson. She was recommended to us by a trusted speech-language pathologist, and from the beginning it was clear that she approaches evaluations in the best way. Our prior evaluation elsewhere felt box-checking and impersonal. With Kristen, my child was truly seen. She connected with him on a genuine level and took the time to understand him as a whole person, not a list of deficits. When I received her report, I felt validated and deeply reassured as a parent. It was a neuroaffirming, strengths-based evaluation that highlighted my child’s abilities and provided insight that is actually useful for real life accommodations and support. Because of how positive our experience was, I chose to have my daughter evaluated by Kristen as well. Once again, she captured the full picture—recognizing nuance rather than relying on stereotypes or broad categories. Reading her report felt affirming and comforting rather than discouraging, which felt rare as a parent of neurodivergent children. Kristen sees children as people, not problems to fix. She values and acknowledges the work parents do behind the scenes and brings deep compassion, expertise, and calm to the entire process. Her knowledge of neurodivergence, combined with her warm and respectful approach, makes her truly exceptional. We have referred many friends to Kristen, including families with children who are very selective about the professionals they trust, and every experience has been overwhelmingly positive. If you are seeking a neuroaffirming autism or neurodiversity evaluation that is compassionate, thorough, and parent-centered, Kristen Johnson is the best.

We had a great experience at this practice! My child was evaluated by Dr. Schuler and she was excellent. She is very knowledgeable and was great to work with. Quick communication and we were able to be put on the schedule very quickly. I highly recommend her and her practice if you are looking for a psychological evaluation!
