If I could give zero stars, I would. I know there are way more 5 star reviews than 1 star reviews, but I highly suggest you really read the one star reviews because my experience with Dr. Kondev was completely inappropriate and bordering on malpractice. I went in for my consultation. It was very casual at first, which was great.... He sat down and asked "what do you want?" So I started listing my reasons for needing to talk to someone. He barely let me talk, for every few words I got out, he would interrupt me and spew out a ridiculous solution without actually hearing what I had to say first. His solution to ALL my problems after maybe 10 minutes, and this is actually quoting him "you suck at dating, get a puppy, smoke weed, and block your ex". No matter how many times I tried to explain WHY those things aren't going to/can't happen, he ignored me and kept repeating it. Told me "a puppy won't leave you" And even after telling him smoking marijuana makes me violently ill, he kept insisting that it would help me. All while "taking notes" his notes were LITERALLY him drawing straight lines across a blank piece of paper. I legit thought I was being punked. He prescribed me a one month prescription for Prozac. As I was leaving, he again repeated himself "get a puppy, smoke weed and block your ex" and that he'd have the other Dr. would reach out to set up an appointment. I picked up the prescription (and since one of the rare side effects is suicidal thoughts) I decided to wait to start taking it until I was being monitored by a doctor...... thankfully, because neither Dr. Kondev nor the other doctor he was matching me with ever reached out to set up the appointment. I got a text from the pharmacy at the end of the month saying there wasn't a script for another month of the meds (meds you are supposed to slowly wean off). I called to follow up, it's been about two weeks now and they still have not responded. Edited to add: He prescribed me 20 mg of Prozac without even discussing it with me first, because I most definitely would have asked to start at a lower dose. He took one look at my body and offered me Ozempic, not even asking about my overall health. Which if he did, he would know that while I'm a bigger girl, my health is perfect and I have no need for medication. Also offered me a script for medical marijuana. All within a 15 minute appointment. I would avoid this man and this practice at all costs.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kondev’s for years. He’s a straight shooter who tells it like it is, but in a supportive way. I appreciate his direct, non-judgmental conversations which always remain kind and understanding, often with a good dose of wit. I always walk away with a sense of optimism and something useful to work on. Receives bonus points for the bowl on his desk filled with an evolving array of sophisticated hard candies.
