This is a thoughtful and caring team that truly creates a safe, supportive space for anyone seeking therapy. It’s clear they approach their work with integrity, compassion, and genuine respect for the people they serve. You can tell that the clinicians are deeply committed to providing high-quality care and promoting healing for their clients. It can take a day or two to get a call back, as others have commented on, but that’s completely understandable given that they are a small team, but I’d rather get services through a small team with quality work than a corporate company.

I had a disappointing experience with Tucson Counseling and Associates regarding their billing practices and communication. Before my scheduled session, I received notice—only about an hour in advance—that my copay would be $100, which was not clearly communicated at any prior point. I was also not informed that billing details were available through a client portal. When I canceled due to the unexpected charge, I was still charged a late cancellation fee. I understand the importance of client responsibility for insurance benefits, but I believe clearer, more proactive communication from the clinic could have prevented this situation. The tone of follow-up emails felt rigid and lacking empathy, which added to my frustration. Clients should be aware to verify all copay details directly with both their insurance and the provider before scheduling, as billing transparency was not what I expected.
