Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Lakewood

Our first visit with Amy B Jones of Thriveworks went very well. My spouse and I were relieved to finally find someone who seemed skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced as a relationship counselor. We scheduled a second session. Amy cancelled stating she was ill, 2 hours before our session was to begin. We understood. Then Thriveworks began sending us notices to inform us that we owed $135 because we cancelled less than 24 or 48 hours (can’t remember which) before the scheduled appointment. We weren’t the ones who cancelled! About a month later I sent Amy B Jones an email letting her know that we wanted to schedule another appointment. She did not respond to the email. We called Thriveworks and with their assistance were able to make an appointment. At the right time we tried to enter the Zoom room but it was locked. We called Thriveworks 8 minutes after the scheduled meeting time and were instructed to try again in 7 minutes. It was then that I got an email from Amy saying she got involved in an intake session that turned into an emergent situation and she could reschedule us to later that day. We will try to find someone else.

I was apprehensive about EMDR because of a previous doctor that was supposed to be working with me on this. She (previous doctor) never had any plans of going through the steps of EMDR, she just wanted a weekly check from Medicare. I saw her once a week from June - mid November before I finally realized what she was doing. In the past few weeks that I have been working with Katherine we are already covered and surpassed much more than ever before. Thank you Katherine.
