My experience with Jacqueline Hayes was one that made me never want to do therapy again. She kept talking about how I was late with an attitude when the reason I was late was because I was having a breakdown in my car. Kept bringing insurance and payment. I broke down in the lobby, in the session, and post session and when the session was over she just let me walk out by the door even though I was in major distress. At the end of the terrible appointment she suggested we meet in two weeks even tho she had done nothing to set me up for success for the two weeks. Just kept mentioning how I shouldn’t be late or she’d charge me a late fee. Never booking with thrice works again.

I could not be more disappointed in the therapist and how she managed our session. I put a lot of thought into finding an in-person therapist that seemed approachable, was INN w/Cigna, and had experience with the topics I needed help working through. I found Jacqui Hayes on Psychology Today and was so impressed by her profile. From the moment I sat down, she was trying to shuffle me to another therapist. If she went through my initial paperwork and thought we would not have been a good match, then she should have reached out to reschedule me instead of wasting both of our time. During the intake questionnaire, I asked if I had to disclose the exact company I worked for and she said yes. I told her I preferred not to at this time, but reluctantly shared my employer's name. She appeared offended and went on about how everything we discuss is confidential and she works with many "high profile clients" and has never had any issues with any of her other clients. I didn't have concerns with her confidentiality, but was not fully comfortable with how she was interacting with me. Seeing this is *talk therapy*, I shared with her how I was feeling that interaction and the entire session went downhill from there. I was mocked for asking the definition of "cathartic", told that my care needs were too great to overcome, and intentionally triggered. This is not a safe environment...at least not with this counselor. I scrolled through the reviews and saw zero good reviews with her name. I feel terrible giving a one star review, but it is 100% justified and only applies to this therapist.
