My counselor was a fantastic fit for me, seeing things I could not or would not see for myself. She opened my eyes, and I will always be thankful she helped me find my voice and strength. However, the billing department is still having issues years after opening, according to others reviews. I would only get a bill after I would ask for one. The front end staff never knew my balance and was always confused. People dealing with money should never be confused, and if they are then they should remedy immediately. To secure trust in those they serve, knowing where one stands is essential. Three times I paid out of pocket for at least three sessions. That is a lot of money. But I’m not sure if the clinic as a whole cares. I only get ten sessions a year paid by insurance, and was only told once by my counselor the I had gone over, and it was too late by then. I don’t like surprise bills and a year after being seen I saw old statements from the year prior. It’s really quite outrageous. Counseling should be about building trust and finding the tools you need to help manage this life. But, if billing has issues… how can I have any faith in anyone at this facility?

I give a lower rating because I am unsatisfied and feel disrespected with my experience from August 2023 - December 2023 and hope this is not the case for others in the future. Upon arriving in August 2023, no one was at the desk in the front half of the time. My therapist showed up late 3 times, had to cancel last minute on one occasion and made me feel like I had to fight for what I believed in. I feel I wasted 4 months trying to find counsel and being met with this. I do know that was a personality clash, however still a reflection of this business. Beyond that, I asked for my billing statement on 3 separate occasions to 2 different people from the months of September 2023 to November 2023. I was told: 1. It would come in the mail, 2. It will show up on the app, 3. Ask the front desk. When I asked, they had no idea what was going on and said they would talk to their boss and “get it worked out and let me know”. I had to explain to them that my insurance company had not yet received the claims for over a month for the previous sessions, which tells me no one was working on it at all in their office. The demise of my professional relationship with this company was when I was called (not by my therapist, as usual) having to cancel that week’s session. Then received a call 2 days later from the front desk receptionist telling me my therapist was no longer employed there. I chose to cut ties completely despite their recommendation of another therapist at their location, as I felt this was the best decision based off the experience I had from the previous 4 months. This was the first week of December. I did not receive my statement in the mail until February 23, 2024, almost 3 months after my affiliation ended, but it was post marked for February 12, 2023. (It took 2 weeks to get to my mailbox?) The statement reflected I had an “overdue balance” from August 2023 to December 2023 that needed to be paid (as I was aware of and asked for!) by March 1, 2024. Because I did not want the hassle, I decided to pay immediately. Upon calling in, a woman answered the phone, put me on hold but did not actually hang up and proceeded to discuss someone else’s case/situation to her superior. For over 2 minutes I sat there and listened to someone else’s personal details. I felt disrespected not only as a client but for the individual they were discussing. Respectfully everyone seemed nice and the environment was okay, including the support dog who walks around, however the employees I came into contact with seem to need some training in ethics and professionalism.
