My experience with Thrive Counseling has been nothing but great. Liz Childers is someone I would recommend with flying colors. I’ve seen many mental health professionals, however none have come close to her. It seems she is intentional in every aspect of her approach to being a therapist. If you are looking for someone to meet you with grace and empathy while you face life’s biggest challenges, Liz is your girl.

I saw Dr. Cornelius. I had been a patient of his when he was at different pain clinics. When I saw he was at Thrive I intentionally sought an appointment with him. He listens, he cares and is compassionate. He will keep you on your same medications if they work. He, as with all psychiatrists and other doctors do not want their patients taking too much benzodiazapines but recognize that some patients NEED them to live a normal life. He reduced the amount of the benzoyl I was prescribed which no other psychiatrist had suggested and I agreed with that change easily. Dr. Cornelius is still a great doctor!! I hope I can continue to see him for a long time!! He has always helped me!!
