Office staff is friendly and helpful, but If you’re looking for a reliable and good Dr, don’t go to Dr. Hamilton. She is constantly rescheduling my husband’s appointments last minute. It’s very frustrating and unprofessional. I understand she has personal issues but maybe she should start thinking of retirement if she needs to be taking off so much.

****Review Edit**** I am editing my review from one to four stars as I have seen Dr. Lucas on three occasions, and it has been nothing short of miraculous for me. He has done what other providers have not been able to do. I got my focus and concentration back as well as better moods overall. This is the most I have felt like myself in the the last three years. I still stand behind everything I originally said about his assistant Liz and how she screens new patients. I feel it is my duty to write this review in hopes of deterring others from seeking help at this establishment. If I help even one person, it will be worth it. Providers at Thorntree Psychiatric Associates, if you happen to notice a significant decline in the amount of new and existing patients, you can look to your receptionist Liz, or whatever her title is, because she's running them away. I was referred to this practice by my health plan. I called to set up a new patient appointment Liz called me back about 10 minutes later. She introduced herself and asked me to tell her a little bit about why I was seeking care, and that's about where the cordiality ended. She asked me if I was off from work, to which I replied yes because I thought she was asking if I was off work that day. I thought maybe she was going to try to fit me in because in the voicemail she left the day before, she stated that they had openings this week. She was actually referring to being off work for disability. I proceeded to try to clarify myself, and she became RUDE, BELLIGERANT, CONDESCENDING, AND JUST DOWNRIGHT NASTY! She began to cut me off and raise her voice while telling me that no one in that practice was going to be able to help me because they don't fill out paperwork for disability nor do they provide second opinions. I did not ask for either one. I told her that my doctor was referring me be she felt that I would benefit from someone who specializes in my condition. This woman has no business having direct patient contact AT ALL! Never in my life have I ever been treated so poorly when seeking care from a provider. It is difficult enough for people like me to get the care that we need amid the stigma, red tape, etc., only to be verbally abused by the person who is supposed to be the face of the practice. Not only should it not happen in a doctor's office at all, but it definitely should not be happening in a behavioral health setting. She lacks decorum, professionalism, and empathy and needs to be stopped. Please don't bother copying and pasting a fake apology vowing to look into the matter. The fact of the matter is that if you had really done that, like you stated in all your negative reviews, she wouldn't still be in your employ. You may as well hang a "Beware of Dog' sign on the front because you definitely have a bulldog at the front desk.
