The Remedy Mental Health - Golden Valley (formerly Advanced Brain + Body)

When beginning as a Remedy patient in 2023, (formerly Advanced Brain & Body) I was the patient of a Nurse Practitioner for Med Management. Being treatment resistent had been a nightmare across decades. The NP hung in there with me. She was especially knowledgeable about what Ketamine is and how/where the brain is targeted. Being taught the science and biology helped put me at ease. She took extra time with me to hear a summary of stressors and Inpatient/Outpatient strategies. Fearful of change, I was worried when ABB merged with Remedy at first. For me, the transition has been very smooth. All the staff, especially the front desk, are so kind. As being very anxious making phone calls and attending appointments, they are compassionate and patient. Beginning April/2025, my Psychiatrist is now Dr. John's. Google him and his contributions to Ketamine's psych use and research in MN. We, as psych patients, using Ketamine, in Minnesota, owe Dr Johns much gratitude. As a med provider, he is confident and decisive while still asking for my input. He shows caution, but because of all his knowledge/experience he is great at problem solving with Pharmacology. For example with, dosing and med combos while providing close monitoring and availability on the Patients Portal, he is outstanding. Side Note: I know I'm not alone in hating the technology of Patient Portals at clinics. The format of the page for Remedy is actually user-friendly. Speaking to other patients who have had a life-time of bad to mediocre psych care, The Remedy is what we have been hoping for in a psych clinic.

Dr Johns is one of a kind. He listens to all your concerns and he is very personable. I am fortunate to have found him!
