Dr. Burbano is an exceptional psychiatrist whose expertise is transforming. Highly professional, insightful, and a great listener —five stars without hesitation!

In my opinion, Dr. Burbano embodies some of the more complicated parts of mental health industry. As a Black woman with ADHD, I’ve fought long and hard to be believed and taken seriously as a patient, only to be let down by various individuals. Unfortunately, Dr. Burbano’s practice is no exception to this rule. While this isn’t a slight against her expertise or skillset, she is very strict about payments and timely appointments. There seems to be very little room for self-advocacy, without risking upsetting her. I was dropped at one of the most stressful times in my career and Dr. Burbano’s lack of empathy was jarring. If you want to go to her practice, I’m sure you’ll receive all the help you need, but please don’t assume she’s an activist doctor. It’s all about mula.
