The nurses were amazing. Dr Costa...not so much. I had come out of the hospital after 8 days following some physical & mental health issues. He asked me for a list of my current medications that I wasn't able to provide at the time, so he filled everything Is presented to the ER upon admission. While I was there (because I have back issues & am disabled) they administered pain medication that they thought was necessary & I agreed. 5 days later he approached me in front of the staff and all of the other patients telling me that I had scammed him into providing it & brought me to tears in front of them all. I tried to explain that it was likely because he got the list from the hospital, but he insisted that Id lied and told him it was something I was already taking. It had been, but only when working & purposely not otherwise. He was adamant that I was some kind of drug fiend, cut me off and kicked me out although I was not yet in any shape to leave. His actions had very real consequences in my life, and yet he goes on doing what he does. It was explained to me by my PCP that it was likely because of the newish law saying that if you first prescribe Opioids, then you are responsible for anything related after that. Strange, because when I was able to get back to work; my PCP had no problem. I hope I don't ever have to go back, not only, but because Dr Kopta is still there. And I hope it won't be a matter of life & death like it was last time. Ask for another Doctor.

Recently admitted on own accord. The weekend staff was pleasant but not helpful. The week day staff was rude and uncaring. This place is literally disgusting. They don't wipe tables or chairs after meals. None of the furniture is ever wiped down. You can literally see the dirt, grease, and crumbs in the creases of furniture. Was covid tested before admitted, yet my second day there I was woken by nurse at 6 am saying they had to retest everyone due to outbreak on connecting ward, again they don't wipe or clean anything including dining area floors and tables. This is suppose to be a place of healing and help, yet they ignore patients literally begging to see the doctor and talk. This patient was carted off by several security guards when doctors was only feet away in his office doing nothing. The doctor spends 5 minutes checking in with you and calls it therapy. I would recommend if you need psychiatric care you look elsewhere for it, cause this place isn't giving it. Thankfully I was able to check out and leave since I was self admit. Feel extremely bad for the people stuck there due to holds. All around not a therapeutic place of healing.
