I highly recommend River Wards Wellness. Jess has been instrumental in continuing to help me better understand and articulate my emotions—something I didn’t have the tools or knowledge to do so before working with her. She’s truly amazing.

I had two intake appointments with River Wards Wellness Collective, one over the phone -- the second was held virtually via video. In addition to the time spent detailing the nature of my need for establishing care, I had submitted in writing a detailed rundown of my priorities and focus areas. Altogether, a time commitment of about 60 minutes with their staff/team, and my own personal time of sharing all of this in writing as well. Despite the fact that this group was in network for me, I was surprised to be charged almost $200 for that *second* intake appointment (~$130 after insurance), which was NOT communicated at all beforehand. Even after I brought this to their team's attention, there was no effort made to (1) rectify the experience I had with their staff/communication/therapist, or (2) reassure me that their communications would be reviewed and changed for others moving forward. I was told that leadership would be made aware of the situation, and that was it. To add insult to injury, when I showed up to my first (and only) in-person therapy session, the therapist started with "The intake information I received was a bit vague -- would you mind sharing with me what brings you in today?" My precious time, effort, and money -- were all wasted here. Would have given one (1) star, but the person I did my initial (free) intake with was responsive/timely in their communications when I flagged this issue.
