I wish I would have read the reviews before this appointment, as my situation is similar to another reviewer. For a "family practice" that focuses on the mental health of human beings, there is little empathy offered at the front desk. I had an appointment - albeit I was 5 minutes late walking through the door due to an accident on the highway and me trying to get the courage to get out of the car - but was informed that I was labeled as a no-show because I was supposed to check in 15 minutes prior because I was a first time patient. If this is the case, then the appointment should be scheduled for that time. The front desk ladies offered zero empathy and no understanding and I was told that they would have to speak to the doctor to even consider rescheduling me. So, if this is your only choice of a place to go seek help I cannot say much about their level of service, but I will say their policies and front desk staff need some adjustments. To the staff and doctors at Ridge Family Psychiatry, Today you turned away someone who truly, desperately needed help. I am a military wife and my PCM, who got me through the trauma of my husband being deployed during the 2025 conflicts in the middle east, relocated to a new base and urged me to continue my care elsewhere. You see, I never felt comfortable seeking professional help because my whole life I was told by the adults in my life "It's all in your head," and comically, they were right. It IS all in my head, all of it, every slight, every heartbreak, every anxious thought. In my head because I never felt safe enough, valued enough to say it out loud. Today, you and your office staff reminded me why I never sought help to begin with. You all made me feel unwelcomed and unworthy of your time. I hope in the future you can look at people as complex beings who may need grace. I hope that in the future you will ask questions before pushing someone away - "Are you safe?" "Can you wait for another appointment?" I hope in the future you see hurting humans and not a number or paycheck. Do better.

Dr. Peter Seiler and Dr. Emily Seiler are truly wonderful. They both care deeply about their patients and always go the extra mile to make sure people feel heard and supported. You can tell they love what they do — they take their time, explain things clearly, and never rush appointments. They’re also very knowledgeable and stay up to date on the latest medications and treatments, which really shows in the quality of care they provide. Their kindness, compassion, and dedication make such a difference. Wichita is very lucky to have them!
