Providers are great but NOOO ONE answers the phone. Obviously there is a lot of reviewers with the same experience. What is being done?

I’m so disappointed. I was a patient of Dr penland for YEARS. He’s a great doctor. But I can’t see him anymore because the staff will NOT answer the phone. I went about 6 months without an appointment and then have been calling and leaving messages for the past year. Yes, a year. Not every day of course, but often. They finally called me back yesterday after I called 13 times in a row. The lady said “yeah, I had a bunch of missed calls from this number?” As if I was personally inconveniencing her by calling the office where she works. She wouldn’t let me make an appointment because it’s been over a year, and told me the manager would call me back. I have absolutely no faith the manager will call me back, and if she does she probably won’t let me make an appointment, so I went ahead and made an appointment somewhere else. I will miss Dr penland. Something needs to be done about the office staff.
