I can't say enough good things about Heather at New Day. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started, I just knew I was willing to try anything to get help with how frustrated I was on a continual basis with this brain that functions differently than most. Being diagnosed later in life, I was determined to try and figure out how to cope better with ADHD rather than just accept this way of being that has frustrated me for far too much of my life already. But, I have ADHD, so how was I going to do this? Enter Heather. From the very 1st session, I knew I was in the right place and every week I walked away feeling encouraged and equipped with new tools to help me not be so frustrated all the time. Talking to Heather, who understands my brain like most don't, was always so reassuring and helpful in so many ways. She is really good at helping you come up with tools and ways of doing things that work for you individually, not just you with ADHD. Being appreciative that we all function in different ways for different reasons was so nice. She really did a good job of listening to me, asking questions to make me think and offering suggestions to help with whatever that weeks frustration was. While I still have ADHD, I now have extra tools in my belt to help me cope with less frustration and more acceptance of who I am with ADHD. My 8 sessions was worth every penny and I did not hesitate to sign up for 8 more. Make yourself a priority and give this a try! I don't think you'll regret it.
