I have worked with Carissa collaboratively in support of a mutual client, and she was an absolute delight to work with. I can tell in working with Carissa that she is personable, thoughtful, caring, and very trauma-informed in how she relates to her clients, and she absolutely puts herself into that work. It is so easy to work with her collaboratively, as she is communicative, gracious, and easygoing. Where Carissa particularly shines is in her work around chronic illness and pain, which can be so stigmatized and dismissed in the medical community. Carissa truly helps to create space for gentleness and compassion around these struggles in a way that so few people are able to do. I would absolutely recommend Carissa and her practice to clients looking for thoughtful, Eating Disorder- and trauma-informed therapy, and I think that she has created a real gem of a practice that can benefit so many clients.
