TL;DR - waited two months for an intake appointment with a specific provider. Appointment happens, I leave happy and optimistic, then MTG calls the next day to tell me the provider isn't actually taking new patients, and tries to redirect me to a much less experienced provider. Two stars because the original provider was great. --- I've been a mental health patient for awhile. I have a complex MH history, so I'm at the point where I'm hesitant to trust just any MH provider. So I waited two months for an intake appointment with a specific provider who had good reviews and extensive experience/education. The intake appointment arrives, and it's amazing. I feel listened to, and almost immediately am comfortable opening up about my past. For once I left feeling hopeful that I might actually get somewhere with treatment. Next day, MTG calls to tell me there was an error, and that provider isn't accepting new patients. They offer to schedule me with a different provider, who only has a year of experience in this specialty. (No disrespect, everyone starts somewhere, but I'd specifically been looking for an experienced provider.) Opted instead to look for a different practice that can correctly track their provider availability. So now I'm back to square one, but with another reason to be anxious whenever something seems to be going right for me. And with the exciting prospect of getting to dig up old trauma for yet another intake appointment in the near future.

Pretty pleased with the overall experience thus far. Of course just like anything else you have to find an office and therapist that you are compatible with. That may take a couple try’s. The only cons would be that parking is typical for Seattle and a couple minor scheduling issues. Otherwise, the office itself is good. Front desk staff are great. The patient portal is great. Communication is pretty good.
