I have seen Maya Cortes off and on for 6 years. She literally changed my life. If not for her I wouldn’t be the version I am of myself now. I am a happier, stronger and more independent person because of working with her. I truly believe that anyone that has the chance to work with her is blessed and she will do the same for you that she did for me.

I was really looking forward to my first session, only to have it canceled just 10 minutes before due to missing intake paperwork, which I understand is necessary. What surprised me, though, was being told that because of this, I wouldn’t be seen at all and that they weren’t willing to “work with me” in any way. I’d have to go elsewhere entirely. What makes this especially disappointing is that when I first scheduled my intake call, Mind Trek MISSED the appointment and didn’t follow up until hours after the time. They also called hours after our rescheduled time. So while I completely respect the need for paperwork, the unwillingness to meet patients halfway, especially on a first-time session, feels dismissive and lacking in basic courtesy. I even asked if I could be seen by another person in the office and was told “no!” That kind of rigidity is disheartening to see in a healthcare setting.
