Dr. Nippoldt-Baca saw our son for FAA testing. Her explanations, professionalism, and engagement took the anxiety out of the process for us. The facility is also extremely comfortable, enabling him to relax and focus. When there was a complication from a different lab (not affiliated with Midwest Minds) in part of the process, she reached out to resolve the situation, instead of leaving us to figure it out. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for services of this nature.

Can there be a six star option? We took our 14 year-old son to Midwest Minds for an assessment recently and the experience was fantastic. He has struggled with a variety of challenges since he was a little boy and we've always had suspicions about what's going on in there but never had a definitive answer (despite many years of individual and family therapy). Now we know our son is autistic. We worked with Dr. Nippoldt-Baca ('Lisa', as she introduced herself). I knew from the beginning we were in good hands. I had to hold back tears at the end of the assessment as we all met in a room together to review her findings. She sat there describing our son, looking at him as they nodded their head together, smiling as if they were sharing an inside joke about what he's been going through for all these years (even though it's be raw and painful for him). She understood him in ways that we didn't, which is crazy because he's OUR son. She brought a voice to so many things that have been confusing and painful for all of us, our boy in particular. I felt like we were all on the same team, sharing the same goal of understanding what has been happening and how best to move forward to create a happy and healthy life for him. Crap. Now I'm crying while I write this review. If you're a parent to a child with these struggles you understand. It's overwhelming at times and we didn't get a manual for this, you know? We have a long road ahead that will require lots of work and patience but at least it feels like for the first time in a decade we will have a map and what else can you ask for in life? So yeah, this place was worth the money. Thank you Midwest Minds. (Shout out to Jackie at the front desk for being so sweet and helpful... you made a difference in our day)
