My experience with Lexington Therapy was extremely disappointing and concerning. From the very first phone call, the communication was poor and unprofessional. When I called, the person who answered simply said “Hello,” with no indication that I had reached a business. I had to ask, “Is this Lexington Therapy?” and the response I got was a casual “Oh, yeah,” which immediately felt disorganized and impersonal. I explained that I was looking to find a therapist who would be a good fit, and was told to “just read the bios and pick one.” There was no effort made to guide me through the process or even ask what I was looking for in a therapist. It felt incredibly dismissive—especially from a mental health service provider. I scheduled online as instructed, but ended up stuck in a round of phone tag with the therapist I selected. Despite leaving messages and receiving a voicemail suggesting alternative dates, I never received a clear confirmation or follow-up. In the end, I never even got to meet with a therapist. For someone actively seeking support, this kind of disorganized, hands-off approach felt not only frustrating but deeply unprofessional—and potentially harmful to people in crisis. I also asked about health insurance, and no one could give me a direct answer. For a mental health practice, clear communication, empathy, and logistical support are essential—and Lexington Therapy fell short in every one of those areas. If you're looking for a place that will treat your mental health with care, consistency, and professionalism, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
