Jake was fantastic in helping our son through the college process! First, Launchpad Coaching and Jake's willingness to help our son in whatever ways that made the most sense to us, rather than a prescribed process, and offering an hourly rate made hiring Jake both accessible to us as a family, and a perfect fit. This was something that we didn't like about other college advising options that we looked at. We found Jake after realizing that we were having difficulties getting our son to identify what meant the most to him in considering a college. Jakes one-on-one meetings with him to create a college list were invaluable. Having someone outside of the family who not only provided educated and experienced advice but also a different perspective, was crucial. Jake's suggestions on possible edits to our son's essays were also extremely helpful. Thank you Jake for all that you did!

My son was diagnosed with ADHD the end of his junior year in high school. We both knew that senior year would be filled with angst due to the pressure of college applications, as well as, maintaining good grades. We were introduced to Jake who made ALL the difference in the world to my son's senior year!!!! Jake was able to quickly develop a trusting relationship with my son. Jointly, they created a schedule with deadlines for college applications and school work. I was minimally involved and watched as my son's self confidence improved and he was able to take pride in his achievements. My son valued his time with Jake as he was able to recognize the positive impact of this relationship. It also helped our relationship as I was no longer "nagging" him to stick to deadlines and get the work done. Jake became a confidante and my son will continue his relationship with Jake, via phone, during his freshman year in college. As he navigates the world accepting his ADHD, he is receptive to an organizational coach to teach him tools and help maintain is focus on the work demands of college. Jake's involvement made senior year a terrific year for my son, as well as, our relationship. My son is entering freshman year with more confidence and recognition that he can succeed!! Thank you, Jake for your guidance and support during this year!!
