Integrated Counseling and Wellness

I had been a patient with Integrated Counseling and Wellness Center for years. I felt the therapists were really good and the reception staff was great at communicating and working with my schedule. Earlier this year, I was having a crisis for a time and was recommended to seek more in depth therapy. I agreed that what I was experiencing was serious and agreed to an out-paitent program. The program was okay with me continuing to see my counselor at ICW as long as treatment didn't interfere. This made me happy, however, the staff at ICW said they couldn't and wouldn't do counseling with me until I completed the out-paitent program. I was paying out of pocket for ICW, so that wasn't an issue. I felt I didn't have the support I wanted or needed because of their lack of willingness to continue to see me in my crisis. Things got worse and I again, asked if I could please continue to see my ICW therapist. ICW told me that until I completed the recommended treatment, I could not come back. I was told that this was policy. This made me more depressed. I'm doing much better now, through a lot of hard work and with the help of other therapists. I really liked working with ICW until I felt I was abandoned at a time I needed them most. I feel that as long as one doesn't have a serious and critical issue, ICW will be glad to assist. However, as soon as things become too serious, ICW says goodbye until things are better.

Gracie - I cannot express how full my grateful heart is because of Gracie. She quite literally changed my life. My world has been made better and brighter because of her counsel, advice, and help. She is like a grandmother figure with her wisdom and kindness. She's also spunky like me, so we hit it off right away. She made me feel important and heard and these past two years of her being my counselor have positively impacted my life and myself for the better. Thank God for Gracie. I highly recommend working with her and having her as your counselor.
