I absolutely love my providers and they are great at patient care. However, the billing department really needs to improve their approach. Unknowingly to me, (and yes my responsibility), my card on file expired at the beginning of the year. In September, I received an email informing me for an outstanding balance. I currently have my contact preferences set to phone and text, so I am really unsure why email was the approach for billing without a call or any other notification. I am so thankful I have the financial ability to now pay this substantial debt in full, but this is a serious consequence for patients who do not have this form of financial stability. I think the billing department should really revise their patient communication and it is truly disheartening for the patients that they serve and a major barrier to care that is already difficult to receive in Alaska.

I love my Psych! Dr. Howard Chaitoff is very attentive and makes me feel really heard and seen. I appreciate him!
