‘Ve been seeing Dr. Moghaddami for about 8 months and I’m very happy with his care. I didn’t want to be a typical American who lazily calls someone with a foreign sounding name by some short Americanized nickname, so on the first visit I asked him to tell me how to pronounce his name (he’s Persian by heritage) and out of respect I always call him by his proper last name (which is super easy to learn in a second and pronounce). He’s happy being called ‘Dr. Mo’ too! Anyway, I am a physician (M.D.) and my mid level practitioners (Dr. Mo is a Nurse Practitioner by training) and because so many NPs are now being trained, and there are excellent and good NP training programs graduating perhaps too many NPs, I make sure the ones I see are well qualified, are knowledgeable about medicine in general and display a high level of expertise in their field (psychiatry, for Dr. Moghoddami). He easily passed my first level of scrutiny. The second test was my first visit with him in his office. As I sat across his desk from him, I take my first impression of him. As a health professional of nearly 40 years, I can tell whether a colleague is competent, capable, has the people skills essential in a psychiatrist. I can just TELL, within just a few minutes, and I decided I would trust him to be my psych practitioner. And then I often speak to him on a technical professional level about medications (psychiatry and non psych) and about conditions, diagnoses, medicine in general and I can tell he knows his stuff. He really thinks through and considers a lot in making treatment decisions and we discuss them together. And then personally, he’s a little on the laid back side, with a smile that’s perhaps a tad shy, but he’s personalable, kind, caring, with one quality that endears me to him: he’s a sweet man. And helps LOTS of patients in his personal yet professional way. Last story: on the day of our appointment several days ago, he was laid up in the hospital being treated for a very painful abdominal malady. Yet, he called exactly on time from his hospital bed, looking a little weary, but had his laptop in his lap and the appointment was successful. I told him he should drink more doogh, a tangy, yogurt drink, popular in his home country served with a sprig of fresh mint - he'll be back.in the saddle in no time.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Mo. From the very first appointment, I felt truly seen, heard, and understood. Dr. Mo approaches every session with a rare combination of professionalism, compassion, and deep clinical insight. He creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing feels possible, and his thoughtful guidance has helped me navigate some of the most difficult times in my life. What sets Dr. Mo apart is his unwavering dedication and genuine care for his patients’ well-being. He takes the time to listen, explains treatment options clearly, and partners with you in making decisions. I’ve experienced meaningful, lasting progress under his care, and I’m so grateful to have found a psychiatrist who is not only skilled but also truly human. If you’re looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and trustworthy mental health provider, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Mo
