Effective Effort Consulting was recommended to us by our pediatrician's office when we were looking for additional support for our son, who was then in 7th grade. Though very capable, our son was struggling to keep on top of his school assignments and found himself at the end of each semester with missing assignments and scrambling to catch up and complete them. His grades also reflected him not being on top of his work or having the studying habits in place to do his best work. Our son started working with Jessica on a weekly basis and we are so incredibly thankful and grateful for her support and dedicated work with him. Through their time together we have seen him shift from just "checking a box" to complete his work to taking great pride in his assignments and grades. He is now consistently on top of his homework and proud of the grades his efforts are resulting in. He went from a blend of B and C grades as the end of last year to being on track for all As and Bs this year. The frameworks, models, and support from Jessica has been a game changer for him and we are thankful to have found Effective Effort in good time to help turn things around for him in advance of him starting high school next year.

My daughter works with Stacy on real-life executive functioning scenarios. They have worked through how to budget and shop in stores and online. How to organize her time between school and work. Most recently they planned a trip into Boston from the suburbs using the commuter rail and T to get to a concert. My daughter navigated their plan beautifully, had a great time, and gained independence and confidence. Stacy has been an invaluable resource for my daughter.
