To start - I like my psychiatrist and that’s the only reason I still come here. But I have literally never had a positive experience with the office. They expect you to know information they’ve never given you, then treat you rudely when you don’t know. My pharmacy requested a refill for one of my meds twice with no response. I was literally about to run out so I called them to see what the hold up was. I was curtly told “We don’t accept refill requests from pharmacies”. Okay… so… you didn’t think to let me know that ahead of time? Or call me when you saw the request come in twice? Now I’ve gone without my meds for 3 days because of this (pretty important?) piece of information I didn’t have. Another time, I had a pretty severe reaction to a new med on a Friday. I called to see if I could make an emergency appointment with my psychiatrist and they told me no. I spent the weekend in pretty bad shape and a $500 urgent care bill with no help. Later, I was informed by my psychiatrist that there is **literally an on-call psychiatrist 24/7**. Why the HELL did they not tell me that? So. Great psychiatrists. Awful office. If you need anything other than basic med management, I’d try somewhere else.

I’m sorry to say my experience did not match the glowing reviews of others. I saw a provider regarding possible ADHD diagnosis and found the assessment lacking. The provider spent no more than 10 minutes asking me questions via telehealth. I also completed a brief assessment on a computer. I do not see how the provider could make a diagnosis either way based on so little information. When prescribed medication didn’t work out, the provider did not offer any other options just pretty much threw her hands up. That was the most awkward medical appointment I’ve had in my life. Since the poor experience I had with Denver Wellness Associates, I’ve seen another psychiatry practice for the same issue (ADHD) and the initial appointment with the new provider was 90 minutes long. That’s how it should be - comprehensive and giving patients a feeling that they are cared about, rather than just a number. I felt dismissed and brushed off by the provider at Denver Wellness Associates and would not recommend them to any woman seeking care for ADHD or similar issues.
