Not a patient of Hope Cromer, but my mother is. I'm a survivor of commercial sexual exploitation of children and I was in treatment practically my whole life. Initially this was to understand complex feelings surrounding being adopted, but as I got older I struggled to express things to peers as a result of most kids not being able to comprehend things I was passionate about. I've always been praised for my emotional intelligence and being able to articulate issues most consider to be ineffable. In recent years I've pleaded to have a group session to address fallacies being spewed by my mother. Most recently, she suggested that "You don't want to know what Dr. Cromer thinks about you". This got me thinking, out of all the years my mother has gone to her, not once has a group session been suggested. I would love to know what conclusions have been drawn by her provider based off of some of the unhealthy and outdated beliefs my mother relied on when describing my character. I've been sober since March 2024, and thought our relationship was getting better. Unfortunately I no longer believe that is true, i'm making this review to urge Doctor Cromer to encourage patients to bring in people who they struggle to maintain a healthy relationship with.

My mom has been coming to her for 28 years. She has seen my mom go through many seasons of her life and has taken the upmost awesome care of my mom. This women is extremely dedicated to her patients and I have never worried about my mom being in her care. I wanted to leave her a review because we were just speaking of her and she was telling me that Hope told her how proud she was of my moms progress in the past couple of years. That means a lot to her and it meant a lot to me. She deserves recognition for being a loving, personable and as my mom said always funny psychiatrist. She takes great care of her patients especially in long term care. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a devoted dr for mental health.
